    With over 15 years experience in finance and strategy, Michael has helped lead companies from idea to exit as part of the executive team. Michael has worked across the U.S., Canada & South America with a focus on IoT, SaaS, Energy, Energy Technology and Advanced Materials. As founder of Akrasia Capital, a fractional-finance and advisory firm for technology companies, he had worked with over 45 companies. This wide array of experience offers Michael an edge through creativity and perspective. His passion is to help companies position their narrative to help better attract investors and potential buyers while engaging multiple stakeholders including boards and management. Working alongside some of the largest and specialized investment banks gives him the ability to effectively and efficiently take companies to market.

    Prior to founding Akrasia Capital, Michael spent 5 years at one of the largest banks in the world. And previous to that, he took on leadership roles in companies across a variety of functions from finance to marketing and operations.

    Born and raised in Russia, Michael now lives in Boulder, CO and enjoys travelling and all the outdoor activities that Colorado has to offer. He volunteers his time with early-stage entrepreneurs to help them build the next generation of disruptive companies.

    Keith has over 25 years of experience in finance, strategy and operations.  He has built a broad and deep analytical and innovative problem solving “toolbox” working with Fortune 100 to start-ups, publicly-traded to not-for-profit, established to entrepreneurial, international to domestic.  Keith applies the disciplines of strategy, finance, and operations to analyze and solve business performance issues.  He is recognized for thoughtful assessment of business challenges and development of innovative solutions that improve business performance.  He is passionate about discovering unidentified solutions that change business fortunes. 

    As Managing Partner of Euclidean Business Advisors, Keith assists startups and lower mid-market companies with matters of strategy, finance—including as a fractional CFO/COO—operations and organization building in industries spanning Aviation/Transportation, CPG, Financial Services/FinTech, Higher Education & EdTech, Healthcare, SaaS, Not-for-Profit & Government, Professional Services, Retail & Manufacturing, and Real Estate.

    Keith’s previous roles include consulting with some of the world’s top firms, strategic planning for one of the world’s largest airlines, and leadership positions including the inaugural CFO for a start-up university located in Doha, Qatar as well as the architect and head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) for one of the world’s largest airports.

    Keith earned his MBA with an emphasis in strategy and finance from The Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.  He has a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the University of Colorado, Boulder.  He is an avid skier, amateur American Civil War historian, and lover of international travel with his wife and two children.

    David founded Ascent Energy Ventures to execute upon the generational opportunity in energy technology and to support innovative founders solving today’s energy problems. He brings over 15 years of experience deploying investment capital for institutions, private investors, and a single-family office.

    He began his investment career in quantitative finance managing algorithmic execution and systematic investment models for Joe Ritchie at Fox River Financial Resources where he gained firsthand experience with industry-wide automation. After eight years managing as much as $100mm in public market portfolios, David joined an energy focused single-family office where he sourced and conducted due diligence on private investments.

    Throughout his life, David has been involved in numerous segments of the energy industry- starting as a college intern for the Secretary of Energy; then as a portfolio manager of long/short E&P equities and commodity futures; then managing oil & gas investments in working interests and minerals; and most recently as an investor targeting energy technology opportunities.

    In addition to his investment work, David acts as a strategic advisor to multiple entrepreneurs, founders, and private investors as well as a litigation financial expert, where he prepares expert reports including complex calculations of damages and financial malfeasance.

    David has spoken at the University of Colorado on the subject of investments, public market structure, and financial sector automation. He spent seven years as the vice chairman of the advisory board for a $3b financial firm. David holds a BS in Finance from the University of Colorado at Boulder where he delivered the student commencement address and received a leadership award.

    David is a CFA Charterholder, member of the Colorado CFA Society. He is a long-term resident of Denver, Colorado where he lives with his wife Shannon and their young children. Over the years, he has enjoyed global travel and is passionate about skiing and spending time in the mountains.
